The fans in the hall (Itzik Belnitsky)
Only 300 fans will be able to watch the intriguing Tel Aviv derby between Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv at Menora Mivtachim Hall on Sunday, after the government rejected its vote to approve the green mark tomorrow (Saturday) evening, which was supposed to increase the number of happy fans to 1,000 places.
The basketball league administration, who along with the teams agreed to accept the outline of only 300 fans, were confident that by the derby the quota would increase significantly, so they agreed to be naive and accept the outline that did no good to the league.
Now, in light of the fact that the Israeli government has time until it makes decisions, the derby will be in front of only 300 fans, with Hapoel Tel Aviv receiving 10% of the number of tickets, ie only about 30 fans.
Good luck to the security forces on Sunday dealing with quite a few fans who will surely come to Menora Mivtachim in an attempt to watch the derby. Maccabi Tel Aviv will continue to give priority to advertising subscribers – these are fans who usually pay much more for their subscription, and thousands more subscribers will again be frustrated when they can not watch the Tel Aviv derby, all under the auspices of the Israeli government.
