Sour-sweet: Hemed lamb, Wellington absorbed 4: 3

Beginning of an article

He almost bought his world in half an hour from the movies opposite the second in the table, but Tomer Hamed came out with a sour-sweet taste from the Wellington Phoenix game this morning (Monday) against the Wonders. The Israeli scored his first goal on Australian soil in a 4-3 win by his team and even completed a particularly dramatic double, but the goal was taken from him on the grounds that he was different.

Wellington’s opening game against the second in the table was a dream come true. Hemed did start on the bench, but he saw how even after 7 minutes of football Ulysses Dabila puts the visitors in the lead. Unfortunately, in the 23rd minute Daniel Wilmering equalized and until the 52nd minute Cameron Devlin regained the lead and Jordan Match left again.

Then, just three minutes after getting off the bench (64), Hemed’s show began. The Israeli was accurate with a free kick and returned the advantage to Wellington, but saw Mitchell Duke (65) and Kwame Yeboah (84) complete a makeover. Hemed managed to force an equalizer in the 95th minute – but the goal, as mentioned, was disqualified on the grounds of dissent. Hemed and his teammates remain in 10th place and they count a second game without a win.
