An alarming event took place tonight (Monday) in a game between Liverpool and Wolves. In the 85th minute, when the champion with a 0: 1 advantage, the host goalkeeper, Roy Patricio, absorbed the knee of Conor Cody, captain of Wolves, on his head and the game was stopped for a quarter of an hour.

For long minutes, the Portuguese received treatment and lay on the grass unconscious, with the game resumed only in the 100th minute. Patricio got off the field on a stretcher, hooked up to a respirator and the severity of the injury is currently unknown.

Coach Wolves, Nono Aspirito Santo, Calmed down at the end and said, “I talked to Patricio and he’s fine. He remembers the moment of the injury.”

Also, this is not the first time a Wolves player has suffered a head injury this season. The team’s star, Raul Jimenez, has been out of action for four months after being injured at the end of November against Arsenal, in an incident that left a scar on his head.
