As part of the pilot, the company handled two types of upholstery fabrics using the anti-bacterial and antiviral fabric coating it developed. Sonobia is now expected to supply the treated fabrics for quality tests performed by the supplier, in parallel with performing microbiological tests of the fabrics treated by it.
In the next stage, if the results in the quality fabrics are satisfactory, a follow-up pilot will be carried out at an industrial level, and its success is expected to enable the incorporation of the company’s technology in the supplier’s production chain. This is as part of a long-term contractual agreement in the model of selling a machine and consumables, subject to the signing of a detailed and binding agreement between the parties.
Sonobia also reported on two more pilots: one with European carmaker OEM, and the other with “one of the largest European haute couture corporations in the world.”

Sonovia was founded in 2013 by Hershkovitz and has developed technology that uses ultrasound waves in order to impart antiviral and antibacterial properties to textile products, while saving polluting chemicals used by the industry today. 30% to about NIS 400 million.
