Smutrich: “It is not certain that Netanyahu will have a fair trial, the left-wing judges”

“Netanyahu Files – Legal Persecution”: Former Minister of Transportation and Chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, MK Bezalel Smutrich, This morning (Monday) harsh criticism of the conduct of the justice system in everything related to the Prime Minister’s trials, Benjamin Netanyahu In Gadi Ness’ show on Radio North 104.5FM. Smutrich, whose party recently merged with Adv.’S party Itamar Ben-Gvir (Jewish power), expressed doubt about the fair treatment that Netanyahu is expected to receive in court: “The judges have an agenda – most of them a left-wing Ashkenazi elite.”

“If they put their ballots in the Supreme Court, there will be a majority for Meretz and the left”, Smutrich added. “I am not calm about Netanyahu’s trial. My position did not change even when I was in opposition. Netanyahu was persecuted by the police and the prosecutor’s office in investigations and indictments that were not supposed to come at all. Not only do I say this, but also people who understand the trial. .

“I say this as a concerned citizen who believes that the State of Israel should have a strong, independent, independent, professional legal system, and I see this system repeatedly exposed in disgrace,” he added. “Netanyahu’s cases are a legal persecution from beginning to end. As time goes on, another scandal is exposed, and then they try to fabricate permits.”

“We see the damage to the legal systems, including a drastic decline in public trust, the police in the prosecutor’s office and the court,” said another religious Zionist chairman. “This is the great danger and the heavy price we are paying, and we will make the necessary changes to the legal system.”

The criticism of the Knesset member from the right continued to intensify: “Judges place themselves in such a generic placement, and appoint their members. A member brings a friend. The result – a very homogeneous court that represents extremist minority views in Israeli society. Take Mazuz (Meni Mazuz, Supreme Court judge) – “It reflects a very small edge in Israeli society. If you had put my ballot in court, you would have accepted Meretz and left.”

“The minimum is that Netanyahu’s composition will somehow reflect the true composition of Israeli society. There is a composition here of a left – wing Ashkenazi population, and all other populations are missing. These compositions are ideologically biased – and that is bad for democracy,” he continued.

Will you be the next Minister of Justice?
“I will say what is important – that a right-wing government is formed. What Bezalel Smutrich will do within it is less important. True, I wanted to be the Minister of Justice, I still think we need to enter this office and make a drastic depth change in the justice system.”
