Smart to play, Walker, Langord, Fall OUT

The Boston Celtics will play their second game against the Indiana Pacers tonight in their first 2020-21 ‘series’ season (thus scheduled to reduce pandemic travel), hoping to take revenge on the a loss the Pacers relied on in Sunday’s 108 – 107 loss as the team inch back toward health.

For that matter, several of the usual suspects in the recent game will still be out for the rematch against Indiana on Tuesday night, with starting center guard Kemba Walker (knee) and reserved wing Romeo Langford (wrists) continue to regenerate their injury, while Tacko Fall’s big two-way man continues to heal a humble eye caused by unknown causes.

Fortunately for the Celtics, a hard pour by former guard Marcus Smart in Sunday ‘s game did not cause a permanent injury.

On the Pacers side, little Jeremy Lamb continues to work his way back from an ACL that was torn on his left knee, while big man Goga Bitadze nurses a right ankle sprain back to health.

Indiana will also be without Brian Bowen II forward (part of him torn in the groin) and possibly also guard guard Edward Sumner (illness).
