France are unbeaten in the Six Nations after beating Italy and Ireland in their opening two games.

The French Six Nations team is alone after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.

The French rugby federation issued a statement saying that although all players had recorded negative results in the most recent test round, a member of the technical staff had returned a positive result.

Head coach Fabian Galthie has recorded an ‘unconfirmed case’ and will be confirmed again on Tuesday.

The French Rugby statement read: “After last night’s (Monday) PCR tests in Marcoussis by French XV, all players tested negative, a member of the technical staff tested positive, as well a suspicious and unsubstantiated case concerning Fabien Galthié that will be re-examined this morning.

“According to health protocols, all team members and supervisors were kept alone this morning. Interactions are kept to a minimum.

“There will be a further test at the National Rugby Center on Wednesday morning for the entire selection. Tests will be done at home on Friday, as well as on Sunday afternoon when they return to the National Rugby Center.

“The news of the 31 players for the Scotland game will take place on Wednesday night, February 17.”

France are second in the Six Nations with two wins away from their opening two games. Their next game is at home in Scotland on February 28th.

On Sunday they beat Ireland 15-13, their first win in Dublin in a decade.
