Singapore to require all incoming passengers to be tested for viruses

Singapore will urge all inbound travelers to take the Covid test when they arrive in the city from January 25 amid a resurgence of global issues, the Ministry of Health said in a recitation.

Citizens and permanent residents of Singapore returning from either party United Kingdom or South Africa will also be subject to an additional seven-day self-immunity at their place of residence after staying 14 days at a special facility, according to the statement. Both the UK and South Africa have reported new strains of the virus that appear to be easier to transmit.

At present, Singapore only requires travelers who are not citizens or permanent residents, and who have a recent travel history to high-risk countries or regions, to take a PCR test 72 hours before they left.

From February 1, visitors applying to enter Singapore under the green belt and air travel pass arrangement must be insured for virus medical treatment and hospital costs with minimum coverage of S $ 30,000 ($ 22,560).
