Sick gesture: A man built a guitar from the skeleton of his deceased relative

One of the more angular gestures we have encountered has been released in recent days, in which a Greek man created an electric guitar from the bones of a deceased relative. As reported by Metal Sachs, one of their readers, nicknamed the “Prince of the Night”, built a guitar from the skeleton of his uncle, who died in a car accident more than 20 years ago. Watch “Prince of the Night” play a skeleton guitar:

According to the “Prince of the Night”, the skeleton of his uncle, Philip, was donated after his death to the College of Medicine in Greece for study purposes, but when his family contacted the college it became clear that over the years the skeleton was not used at all. Therefore, the guy decided to take it upon himself to use his uncle’s skeleton and built from it a tribute that he claimed would be appropriate in his memory.

“I got my uncle’s bone box and did not know what to do with it at first. Bury them? Burn them? Put them in the attic? Everything seemed to me like bad ways to commemorate someone who made me fall in love with the world of metal music,” said “Prince of the Night.” Finally, he decided to turn the skeleton into an electric guitar, which turned out to be a not-so-simple challenge for him.

“I researched a lot and no one ever made a guitar from a skeleton, so I decided I would be the first. I consulted with two guys from a guitar making shop, but they quickly got cold feet,” he said. Finally, after many obstacles along the way, the guitar was built and made the man proud of the project he picked up in honor of his uncle. “It’s a sick project, but I guess Philip would have preferred it over a lot of other things,” he concluded the interview.
