Shooting on Route 6: One of the wounded, one in critical condition, was pronounced dead

Suspected retaliatory action: A young man in his 20s, who deteriorated with his vehicle on Route 6 after being shot at, died today (Monday) at Beilinson Hospital. In the incident in question, which took place near the Nachshonim interchange, another young man was fatally injured. Police suspect that there is a connection between the current shooting and the assassination of 60-year-old Salman Azberga, which took place this morning in Lod. A MDA team that arrived at the scene evacuated the two to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, while they were unconscious and breathing with injuries to their bodies.

According to police sources, this is a bloody conflict between two families, Azbarga and Abu Saluk, when the car was shot at the Azbarga family, after another shooting incident took place over the weekend as part of the fight between the families. Therefore, the suspicion grows that this is a quick act of revenge on the part of the victim’s family.

Following the arrival of the police in the morning, the Abu Saluk family began to leave Lod for Kafr Qassem, with the aim of living in the city until the winds calmed down. A police team accompanied the family, until at one point he spotted a suspicious vehicle and opened the chase near the Gamzo junction, while another vehicle continued to accompany the family.

Later, on Route 6 heading north, in the area of ​​Kfar Qassem, a Skoda vehicle traveling at high speed opened fire at three vehicles, apparently of the Abu Saluk family. In the first vehicle, the 19-year-olds were found to have been fatally injured, and later another vehicle was stopped, which was stopped in traffic, and even a third vehicle after a few meters. The shooters then continued driving while police officers assisted the injured vehicles. Police forces are conducting intelligence operations in an attempt to track down the escaped Skoda vehicle.
