A few hours after it was announced that he would light a beacon on the upcoming Independence Day, singer and songwriter Shlomi Shabbat did not hide his excitement and shot a thank you video.

Earlier today (Thursday), the Minister of Transportation, Miri Regev, and the Minister of Culture and Sports, Hili Trooper, who are in charge of the beacon ceremony, announced that singer and songwriter Shlomi Shabbat will hold a beacon on the eve of the 73rd Independence Day of Israel.

The exciting news, the 66-year-old Shabbat receives after falling ill in Corona in the past year, was hospitalized for a long time and reached a critical condition. Upon his recovery, he worked to emphasize to the public the dangers of the disease and to encourage immunization.
