Sustainable eating has risen in recent years and this has led to many people growing fruit and vegetables at home. Farming to the table is not just the latest move, but a very viable alternative to buying fruit and vegetables. From a small kitchen garden in the back garden to a fully fledged farm, people are gradually moving to live more and more sustainably all over the world. And perhaps our very own Shilpa Shetty Kundra is the one leading the way here. Promoting fitness many, Shilpa has many times talked about eating fresh and sustainable. She also boasts her kitchen garden on Instagram where she grows everything, from baby spinach and avocadoes to lettuce.
Now, in her latest Instagram stories, Shilpa shared a beautiful video of her son plucking ripe star fruit from their tree in the garden and we are thrilled. In the video, Viaan Raj Kundra is excitedly trying to pull a star fruit on the top of the tree with his helpers. When asked, he shows her two other ripe star fruits in the middle of the tree. He quickly grabs a man and shows her to the proud mother.
Shilpa also shared a commendable photo of Viaan with the fresh star fruit. “My Star With His Starfruit,” she wrote. Look up:
Starfruit is not a common product on the market, but if you are fond of something sweet and thin, you would immediately like the yellow-green fruit. The juicy, meaty fruits are a good source of antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin B, potassium, copper and fiber as well as being very versatile in the kitchen. From salads to chutney, one can do a lot with this healthy product. No wonder Shilpa asked about making chutney at home with so many stars!
