Found a replacement for Sharon Mimar: After firing her coach last night after the 1-0 loss to Kiryat Shmona that deepened the crisis at the club, Hapoel Hadera announced tonight (Friday) the appointment of Menachem Koretzky as the team’s coach.
Koretzky, 46, has coached a long line of clubs, having worked for Hapoel Raanana (two terms), Betar Jerusalem, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Netanya, among others. In January 2020, he was appointed coach of Hapoel Ramat Hasharon from the national league, which he has already left and now he has returned to the Premier League with the aim of rescuing Hadera from the penultimate place in the table. Koretzky will transfer his debut training session on Saturday, with the first game against Bnei Sakhnin on Monday.
As will be recalled, Yaron Hochnaboim was among the candidates for the position but was not released from Hapoel Nof Hagalil, with Lior Zeda and Ofir Haim also being among the names mentioned as those who might reach the ranks of Haderet, but as mentioned, they chose Mimar.
Before, Hochnaboim Commented on his stay in the Galilee landscape: “Hapoel Hadera did contact me, I forwarded the request to Gil, the mayor got into things and they made it clear to me that they do not see a situation where I am leaving the club. I am happy to stay at Hapoel Nof Hagalil, which has long since become my second home. “
