Sharon Van Etten Announces epic Ten Covers Album featuring Fiona Apple, Lucinda Williams, and More

Sharon Van Etten is mentioned epic Ten– double deck marking his 2010 LP epic. The double album includes the original album and LP of covers by Fiona Apple, Lucinda Williams, Big Red Machine, Courtney Barnett with Vagabon, and more. Van Etten has today (March 4) released Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s cover of “A Crime.” Check it out below and scroll down for the full list.

“Sharon is one of my favorite songwriters and I have been very fortunate to collaborate with her many times over the years,” Dessner said in a press release. “Recording Justin’s ‘A Crime’, more than 10 years after we covered MusicNOW’s ‘Love More’ with my brother Bryce – and thinking about our shared memories – felt like coming full circle. It is an honor to be able to honor Sharon and her amazing songs. We felt like the door was going to fall off the hinges of this turn and I think it looks like that. ”

epic Ten out digitally April 16 and physically June 11 through Ba Da Bing. Every Thursday leads up to epic TenOnce published, Van Etten shares the next cover song on the album.

Van Etten is also mentioned epic Ten: the documentary and the show that will benefit the Los Angeles Zebulon Center. The film, which airs on April 16 and 17, features Van Etten and her band performing epic all at Zebulon.
