On February 26, 2021, Hindenburg Research (“Hindenburg”) and Culper Research (“Culper”) issued a statement on SOS, alleging that the Company was a complex “pump and dump” scheme that using fake addresses and teaching pictures of crypto miners to create a vision of success. Analysts noted, for example, that SOS U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission films listed a hotel room as the Company’s headquarters.
