The rift between the British princes is escalating: according to reports in the kingdom, Prince William is unhappy with the way his brother Harry has responded to Queen Elizabeth’s announcement that he and his wife Megan have officially left their royal duties.
“William is really sad and shocked by the couple’s behavior,” a source claimed in an interview with the Sunday Times, adding that the prince had spoken harsh words against them.
The Queen’s official statement was released last Friday and finally confirmed the departure process, coming just over a year after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex publicly expressed their desire to resign, prompting a wave of harsh criticism.
“Following talks with the Duke, the Queen has officially confirmed that the mere departure means that the couple will no longer be able to continue to share in the duties associated with public service life,” the statement said. In response, Heir and Megan sharply criticized the Queen, saying that “we can all contribute, this is a universal service.”
The couple’s reaction as such provoked the anger of William, who according to insiders claimed that their behavior was “insulting and disrespectful – you do not answer the queen back, it is something you do not do.”
