Police enforce coronavirus travel restrictions during Rosh Hashana

The head of Israel’s Police operational unit, Commander Yishai Shalom, said at a preparatory meeting Wednesday that police will build dozens of checkpoints on the country’s main roads to effectively enforce travel restrictions.

Shalom said about 15 checkpoints will be set up across the country between 7am and 7pm, with a further 25 jobs working between 7pm and 11pm, and between 11pm and 7am each day.
