Serena Williams shares a sweet video of the Olympia girl, three, working as the ‘training partner’

She is currently training Down Under for the Australian Open.

But Serena Williams recently fired up her Tik Tok to capture an interesting video taken before she left home.

The tennis legend was seen playing happily with her training partner, aka her three-year-old daughter Olympia.

She shares her little girl with her husband Alexis Ohanian, a Reddit co-founder, whom she married in 2017 in New Orleans.

Olympia took several positions during the practice session – sometimes she was on one side of the net with her mother and sometimes on the other.

At one point she sat down next to the court and threw tennis balls at Serena so that the pro athlete could get along with practice on her own.

‘Photos from my practice before I went with my training partner @olympiaohanian,’ Serena wrote when she posted the Tik Tok on her Instagram.

She and her sister Venus Williams, who is also a well-known tennis player, arrived in Adelaide this Monday to train for the Australian Open which starts on February 8th.

Last October Serena revealed on Insta Stories that not many Olympia have signed up for tennis lessons herself.

But she was to be led either by her mother or by her aunt Venus, according to Serena’s careers at the time.

In fact Serena said that the teacher of their choice at the time had ‘no idea’ that her new pupil is the daughter of a world-famous athlete.

She also said she would leave the lessons immediately after retiring from Olympia so that it would not be a ‘non-profit’ or ‘distracting’ effect.

But last week she posted a sweet Instagram clip of herself looking happy while Olympia worked on her tennis moves.

At the same time earlier this month Alexis jumped on Twitter to beat the Roman billionaire Ion Tiriac for criticizing Serena.

Ion, a former tennis player and now president of the Roman Tennis Federation, commented on TV in his home country.

‘At this age and the pressure she is in now, she is not moving as easily as she did 15 years ago,’ said Ion, adding that she was an emotional player. If she had some manners, she would retire. ‘

In response Alexis tweeted a screenshot of a Google result showing that Ion did not have Grand Slam singles titles and mocked: ‘Google had to … it turned out that Grand Slam has more Grand Slam wins my child is 3 years older than this. ‘

Alexis, who has 23 Grand Slam singles titles, wrote: ‘2021 and not holding back when a racist / sexist clown arrives with a platform for my family. ‘

Ion won one big slam in the men’s doubles at the 1970 French Open and as of 2019 was the third richest businessman in Romania, Forbes said.

He retired from tennis in 1979, the year he turned 40, which is the same age Serena will turn in September this year.

Last September Serena had to pull out of the French Open as she was still recovering from an injury from her left Achilles tendon.

But next month she will have a slate to play in the Australian Open in which she won seven winners, the most recent in 2017.
