“The ton is abuzz with the latest locks, so I am honored to impress you: Bridgerton will officially return for a second season,” the note reads. “However, dear reader, before you post the comments section with requests for more details, I know I am reluctant to comment on details at this stage. Patience, after all, is a trait. “
The second season will focus on “The Viscount Who Loved Me,” which is in book two of Julia Quinn’s favorite romantic novel series. For the season he has taken, Jonathan Bailey is reiterating his role as the eldest son in Bridgerton, and the most suitable blockbuster of the ‘ton,’ or the high association in this play from time immemorial. Regency produced by Shondaland and created by Chris Van Dusen.
Van Dusen gave a little more information about the upcoming season when he appeared on it Today le Hoda & Jenna. “We have a handful of new characters that we’re going to introduce,” he said on the air. “Anthony has a love interest next season, and I think it will be as wide-ranging and moving and beautiful as viewers expect the first season of the show.”
In keeping with the show’s multicultural swagger, Date reports that Anthony Bridgerton’s love interest, Kate Sheffield, is likely to be played by a South Asian or Indian actress. Several other new characters will be introduced and it looks like they are currently adding them.
Bridgerton became a big hit on Netflix partly because of time – it was released in the first holiday season for people who were completely obese with all the elements of the Covid-19 pandemic – and in part because the multicultural cast created gratitude while welcoming a wide range of inbound audiences. It destroyed records and became one of the main shows of the Netflix series. Some 63 million homes are said to have seen the show within four weeks of the December 25, 2020 release date. This week it once again hit the top spot in Netflix’s top 10 shows.
