Season 13 ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ 13 Queens reveal their favorite lip sync ever

No, it’s not RuPaul Draw Race premiere of a season without stunt – and the Season 13 debate was out six. The first episode of this infamous Drag Race season featured six lip syncos, allowing viewers to really see what these queens can do when asked to get to werk. You can tell a lot about a queen from the way they pile up and pile up or park and bark.

The lip sync is for your moment of life, of course, Drag Race’s minute signature – the main contribution of the show to television as a medium. This high-pressure segment of each program has led to some iconic shows that still get oohs and aahs from today’s crowd.

Finding that the premiere of the season would include half a dozen lip sync lipsticks, Decider made sure to ask each queen from Season 13 about their favorite personal lip syncos from the whole Drag race canon. The following is the result of four group interviews with the season team.

Take it away, queens!

Tamisha Iman: I think it was Brooke Lynn [Hytes] and Yvie [Oddly in Season 11].

Denali: Ooh, yes.

Tamisha Iman: That battle was like – I didn’t want it to end.

Rosé: And the double save. Mhm, so good.

LaLa Ri: Synchronization of Latrice Royale’s fertile lips would be Mine [against Kenya Michaels in Season 4].

Symone: Fabulous. Great

LaLa Ri: Natural woman!

Symone: Without a word.

Tina Burner: I mean, personally, when Monét X Change did a fake split, she jumped up in the air, but she didn’t. Because that is unlike me. It was like, “I’m separated – I’m not!” Stuff like that, when you hold me on my toes like that. Silly shyness turns me on a lot, so I was really into that. That’s my favorite.

Queen of Utica: My pity for you. I think it’s my favorite – this is a bit of a controversy, but I just think it’s so subtle. In [Season 11] when, like, six of them were cheating on stage, and you’re like, “Good luck, ladies. Have fun. “Ah! I could imagine how cunning it was, all Queens just fighting for that level. I’ve done that. And I know how it feels. So I certainly sympathize with that, but I thought it was not just fun, but funny. You could just tell the fire was in their eyes. I say, “That’s all.”

Kandy Muse: I think one of my favorite lip syncos ever from my mother is drawing [Aja] on Season 9, when she performed “Holding Out for Need A Hero” against Kimora [Blac]. [Aja] looking so big in the competition at that time. When she did that lip synchronization, it was like, “Werk, bitch!”

Olivia Lux: Also, Dida Ritz, “This Will Be” [in Season 4].

Rosé: I think I had to be All stars [Season 2], Alyssa Edwards and Tatianna, “Shut Up and Drive.” It’s just so symbolic. Even the way it is spent, which is apparently not the case. It was just like that, so good. So inspiring.

Denali: So epic.

Elliott le 2 Ts: Oh my God. Anything Alyssa Edwards. Alyssa and Coco. Alyssa and Tatianna, just mythical.

Symone: Yes, the same.

Olivia Lux: I was just talking the other day about Tatianna and Alyssa. When did they do that alignment – inside and out, and inside and out? There is! That was sick.

Joey Jay: That’s it. I have to agree too, “Shut Up and Drive” is a monument. But then, I feel like a lot of people forget about Jujubee’s “Black Velvet”. [in Season 2]. I love that. That was one of the first lip syncs that was so epic, especially for a slower song.

Kandy Muse: That one was good.

Kahmora Hall: Honestly, my favorite lip sync was in Season 2, with Jujubee when she did “Black Velvet” [against Sahara Davenport]. I love the way she did that song – it was very emotional and emotional. And that showed me, that you don’t have to do splits or kicks to be very attractive. It’s about platform presence and how to connect with the audience.

Denali: I also have to shout out to Laganja [Estranja] against Joslyn Fox in Season 6. When two queens fall at the same time at a crescendo in a song, it’s just true magic and love. The stars are aligned and the whole universe is just rejoicing. Every time I look at it, it definitely does something inside of me.

Gottmik: One that always stands out to me is so weird, I’m not sure why but it always was, it was Jinkx Monsoon [and Detox] in the Candy Ball [in Season 5]. It was so funny to me. And I’m depressed with it.

Symone: It’s so good to look lip sync. It’s so much fun.

Kandy Muse: Ooh, or even the one with Raja and Carmen Carrera [in Season 3 to “Straight Up”] that was—

Joey Jay: Oh yes. And then they had sex on stage.

Kandy Muse: “MacArthur Park,” Manila [in Season 3]. I mean, a whole series could be just about how many lip sync there are.

Joey Jay: I think they should challenge where you need to reactivate lip syncs. I know, I’m a writer now.
