Perhaps we understand more about the history of our planet now that scientists have discovered a new level in the heart of the Earth.
Led by researchers at the Australian National University (ANU), the team determined the Earth’s deep “inner heart”.
It remains difficult to study and track this unexplained new layer, explained Joanne Stephenson, lead author of the study, but it may point us to an unknown mystery incident that has occurred. during the history of our Earth.
“It’s very interesting – and maybe it means we have to rewrite the textbooks!” She said.
The team’s review was published in the Journal of Geophysical Research.
The inner “new” heart layer of the Earth
The combination of this new series suggests that there may have been two different cooling events in the history of our planet. Exploring and studying the inner heart of our planet helps us gain a better understanding of history and evolution.
What we have recognized until this recent ANU study is that the Earth is made up of four main layers: the crust, the healthy, the outer heart, and the inner heart. The new level the team has discovered is an inner heart.
Even though the team’s decisions are new, this concept of another series has been spreading for a few years. However, the “data was very vague,” Stephenson said.
“We got around this by using a very subtle analysis algorithm to go through thousands of inner heart modules.”
Many more are still examining and looking to do before the team’s decisions can be fully confirmed, they wrote. Science warning. That being said, the researchers ’decision aligns nicely with the other studies that also focused on the Earth’s inner core.
A better understanding of the structure of our Earth, and therefore history, allows us to understand changes that occurred before humans could see them, and their connection to today’s geological changes.
