Sancho tops Mbappe on Liverpool’s dream sign list as Red previously talked about transfer targets

Jason McAteer may understand why many would want to attack PSG in the summer, but he thinks the Borussia Dortmund player is the best choice

Jadon Sancho should work above Kylian Mbappe on any list of dream signers in Liverpool, Jason McAteer says, with the Reds having announced that the Borussia Dortmund player would offer “something a little different ”.

Jurgen Klopp has attacked his former club for a previously proposed England high-profile international, but no official approach has been made.

Profitability is starting to surface again heading into the summer window, with the Paris Saint-Germain superstructure seeing a potential turnaround to Anfield, but it remains to be seen who the Premier League’s top champions were aiming to rebuild.

What was said?

Former Reds star McAteer is in partnership with FreeSuperTips, told Amas when asked who would line him up: “I think I can say if I can sign any player, I would sign Mbappe? The biggest talking points in Liverpool are the tactics. Klopp has tried to evolve. He’s tried to use 4-2-3-1, he’s tried to change up and move away from this traditional 4-3-3 – it hasn’t really been for the players to do that job to do.

“[Diogo] Jota obviously opens up the potential for that tactical change but sometimes you can be quite expectant. I think Liverpool have, in some ways, made predictions, and I think that’s why they’ve lost some of their games.

“You look at the teams that came with that low block, they’ve come with that low defensive unit that says’ come and break us down. We know we will get a chance. And if we can be clinical, we can kind of do this ’.

“I think that’s what has happened in a lot of the games this season, Liverpool have gone against teams that have offered these kinds of tactics, they haven’t been able to break them down. . So, I think flexibility is the way to go.

“I know it’s a long-winded response. But I would sign Jadon Sancho. I would sign it because it has that flexibility.

“I think he can play different roles: he can play left, or right, or down the center if you want. “He’s fast and he’s creative. If there’s a low block and you need something a little different, it offers that. He is also young and will fit into the model of this Liverpool team. That’s the player I would go out and buy. ”

Why would Liverpool want Sancho?

The Reds are already full of stock for attacking talent, with Mohamed Salah currently filling a position on the right side of their front line.

Sancho, however, would be another potential alternative for Klopp, especially since Merseyside has a marked exit.

The 21-year-old has been successful since leaving Manchester City academy rankings in 2017.

After exploding on stage in Germany, gaining international fame along the way, Sancho has gone on to 130 appearances for Dortmund.

Over these rounds, 46 goals were scored and a further 60 attempts were scored for grateful teammates.
