Bring the bagpipes! Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish make up and take over Scotland in their upcoming Starz series, Men in Kilts: A road trip with Sam and Graham. After mocking the travel docuseries for the first time last summer, the Outlander stars back with a new, exclusive trailer ahead of the series premiere.
In the new look of it Men in Kilts, the coasts take us on a journey around Scottish history and culture, covering everything from local food and music to beautiful landscapes, all putting out their pants for kilts.
McTavish introduces the subject of his love with a poetic intro, describing the country as “A land cut through by lakes and mountains that weave like a kind of plaid kilt,” and says , “We are going on a journey of a lifetime. ”
In fact, Starz promises us “the biggest road trip ever tried,” and today’s new trailer gives advice on what to expect on Heughan’s journey and McTavish through the highlands and beyond. Over eight half-hour events, the two actors and true friends will celebrate the home country, learning from local experts on fishing boats, dance halls, grazing and more. “This land tells a story about his people,” says a voiceover in the Men in Kilts trailer.
We can expect to see almost every aspect of Scottish life Men in Kilts, and you bet we’ll hear that Outlander stars embrace everything, “from Scottish clans and the Battle of Culloden to whiskey tasting and country dancing, with a fun feast and Sam and Graham’s hijinks leading the way,” Starz concludes in the official description for the travel series. “Whether you’re hanging off a cliff edge, spouting a herd of wild sheep or discovering the true legacy of theirs Outlander characters, they both dive first into every experience. ”
Heughan and McTavish’s love letter to Scotland will first appear on this Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14 at 8 / 7c on Starz. Watch the full trailer above.
