Oscar Garcia is remembered by Israeli football fans as the coach who brought Maccabi Tel Aviv its first championship in a decade. Since the Spaniard’s career has known ups and downs and recently, since leaving Salta Vigo, his former team just hasn’t stopped. Tonight (Sunday) Salta achieved a fourth consecutive victory thanks to 0: 2 over Alabs. Later, Granada climbed to 6th place after a 0-2 draw over Betis.

Salta Vigo – Alabs 0: 2
The new man on the lines, Eduardo Codet, lifted the team from 17th place to seventh and has already scored more points than the Yellows Max. Garcia scored 7 points out of 27 and Codet is in a tremendous balance of 12 of 15.

Already after 19 minutes Lucas Olaza cooked for Bryce Mendez the 0: 1 of the host. Salta controlled the ball more and threatened more on goal and then in the 79th minute Mendez completed a double after a Yago Espas header. Following the result, Alabs recorded a second consecutive loss and remained in 16th place.

Granada – Betis 0: 2
After five games without a win, the host completed a second consecutive victory and clung to fifth Barcelona with the same number of points. The dam was breached by Roberto Soldado, who scored with an accurate penalty in the 14th minute. Six minutes later, the same Soledado completed a double and set up the game. Soledado raised his tally to three league goals and dropped Betis, who have recorded a lone win in the last six games, to 11th place.
