SAG Awards moves an air date to avoid conflict with Grammys

Screen Actors Guild Awards will not share the same air date as the Grammys after all

LOS ANGELES – Screen Actors Guild Awards won’t share the same airline date as the Grammys after all.

The SAG Awards announced on Wednesday that the 27th annual ceremony has been moved to April 4th.

Both award events were scheduled for March 14, but the SAG Awards moved to a different date to avoid conflict with the Grammys.

SAG Awards will air on TNT and TBS at 9pm EST. The exhibition honors outstanding film and television screenings.

The Grammys had moved from January 31 to March 14 due to the recent rise in coronavirus cases and deaths. Other award ceremonies featuring the Oscars and Golden Globes have pushed back their rituals as well.

“During these challenging times, our business and union members have demonstrated their creativity and resilience in finding new ways of storytelling as they adapt to new safety protocols and procedures,” he said. SAG Awards organization statement.

The statement said: “We will embrace that spirit as we rethink the SAG Awards with a special moment that reflects and expands our signature. I am an Actor opening and honoring the outstanding achievements of the past year. ”

The SAG Awards will hold nominations on February 4th.
