MOSCOW, November 26. / TASS /. Consultations on the life of the International Space Station (ISS) will begin in early 2021, the state-of-the-art corporate news service Roscosmos told TASS on Thursday.

According to Roscosmos, the longevity of the ISS depends on both technical and political issues.

“Either way, we plan to start consultations with NASA and other partners on these issues,” Roscosmos said.

Earlier, the Scientific Russia website published an excerpt from a speech by Russian ISS flight manager Vladimir Solovyov, who said several elements of the damage to the station are starting to fail. Solovyov noted that an exponential failure of many models on the ISS is expected after 2025, adding that additional funding of the station may require around 10 to 15 billion rubles ($ 132 million to $ 198 million ).
