The decision passed today actually confirms the model of roof agreements as a government tool and it will allow the Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Israel Land Authority to sign additional roof agreements in the coming year. The housing units are planned to be built in the Bnei Aish, Rehovot, Rechasim, Tamra and Ma’ale Adumim local councils. At the same time, the Israel Land Authority is promoting new agreements with Kiryat Gat West, Ness Ziona, Kfar Saba, Umm al-Fahm and Petah Tikva in the amount of 44,000 housing units.
The promotion of roof agreements is a large part of the regular and routine activities of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Israel Land Authority and in light of the fact that the staff work on the agreements is ongoing for a long time and is currently working on a number of agreements, including Bnei Aish West, Ness Ziona, Kfar Saba, Umm al-Fahm and Petah Tikva with a total volume of about 90,000 new housing units.
