Rockets followed Harden’s trade from 76ers based Simmons, Maxey

James Harden may have played his last game with the Houston Rockets.

After losing to the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday, Harden confirmed everything but that it was his last game with the Rockets, calling his position with the cunning group and one that cannot be repaired.

“We’re just not good enough,” Harden said. “Chemistry, talent, just everything, and it was clear in those last few games. From the start of the game, they were aggressive, a competitive team, obviously, and one of the best teams we have in this league. I love this city. I have literally done everything I can. This situation is misleading. It’s something I don’t think will be fixed. ”

In fact, Harden wanted to trade from the Rockets over the offseason and was eventually reported to a week-long training camp. Following his comments Tuesday, the Rockets reportedly decided to keep Harden away from the team until a trade is found. The group reportedly trading Harden to either the Brooklyn Nets or Philadelphia 76ers.

On Wednesday, the New York Times’ Marc Stein reported that the Rockets were in pursuit of a trade package with the Sixers based on Ben Simmons and rookie Tyrese Maxey. It is reported that the group has prioritized ending trading on Wednesday to prevent further damage to the team following the trade request from Harden.

Maxey has emerged as a promising young player with the Sixers this season, and would be a key piece of a potential trade. The 21st overall pick is fourth in scoring among spies, averaging 11 points, 2.7 assists and 2.6 replays in 12 games played.

The situation between Harden and the Rockets seems to have finally come to an end with both sides looking to move on as soon as possible. The group could find a resolution as early as Wednesday if a trade comes to fruition.
