Just before the Israeli team does so, the Scottish team announced today (Tuesday) its squad for its first three games in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Austria, Israel and the Faroe Islands.

Coaches Steve Clark’s invitees include Liverpool defender Andy Robertson, Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominy and Arsenal defender Kiran Tierney. Also to be found in the Scottish squad: Callum McGregor and David Turnbull from Celtic, and Kevin Nisbet, a friend of Ophir Marcino from Hibernian who received a debut summons.

Another who received a debut summons for a team that ousted the Blues and Whites in the semi-finals of the promotion to the Euros, is Shay Adams from Southampton, who decided to represent the Scots despite playing for the young England team.
