Road accidents: killed and ten injured in an accident on Road 6

A 30-year-old woman was killed, a man in his 20s was fatally injured and a 20-year-old woman was seriously injured today (Thursday) in a car accident between a commercial vehicle that had eight workers, with a private vehicle with three passengers. In addition, a man in his 30s and seven others who were in the commercial vehicle were injured in minor-moderate injuries. The accident occurred on Route 6, near Rahat in the direction of Blades. MDA staff arrived at the scene and are providing treatment. Police are on the scene, and an investigation has been opened by a road accident investigator. Also, according to a report from Soroka, three injured were evacuated to the hospital to the trauma department.

MDA paramedics Muhammad Abu Garboa and Yaron Pinko said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw that it was a very serious accident between a private vehicle and a commercial vehicle. Both vehicles had very severe tin damage. Two women were trapped in the private car – the driver of the car, a woman in her 30s who was unconscious and with severe multi-system injury, we performed medical tests on her, she was without signs of life and we had to determine her death on the spot. Another wounded woman, who was sitting in the front seat, was unconscious and suffered from a multi-systemic injury.

“Another wounded man from the commercial vehicle, a young man in his 20s, was lying on the road unconscious and suffering from a severe multi-systemic injury. We provided him with advanced medical care, took him to the intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition. The patients when their condition is defined as mild-moderate. “

In another road accident between two vehicles, which occurred on Road 232 near Mivtachim Junction, two people were seriously injured, and five lightly. MDA staff arrived at the scene and evacuated the wounded to Soroka Hospital, including a one-year-old toddler.

Yesterday, two people were killed in various road accidents in the country: one, a 65-year-old resident of Pardes Hanna, was killed in an accident on Road 65, near the Karkur junction. The accident occurred after a truck hit the victim while riding his bike. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with primary medical care and ultimately determined his death.

In the other accident, a 50-year-old man was killed on Road 25, near Dimona. The accident occurred after a collision between a private vehicle and a truck near the Tzafit junction. MDA medics and paramedics determined his death on the spot, after he was rescued by firefighters and rescue service fighters.

Since the beginning of the year, 295 people have been killed on Israeli roads (including those killed in the current accident). In the same period last year, 348 people were killed in road accidents. On Road 6, 11 people were killed this year and another 231 were injured, of whom 27 were seriously injured.
