A 40-year-old electric bicycle rider, apparently a foreign national, was killed today (Saturday) by a car on Road 461, near the Mesubim interchange. MDA medics and paramedics determined the man’s death on the spot.
MDA paramedic Issachar Weiss and MDA paramedic Gal Grender said: “When we arrived we saw a broken electric bicycle on the road and a 40-year-old man was lying nearby unconscious, with a very severe head injury. We performed medical tests, he was without signs of life. And we have no choice but to determine his death. “
On Wednesday, another cyclist, a 65-year-old resident of Pardes Hanna, was killed in a car accident on Road 65 near the Karkur junction. The accident occurred after a truck hit the victim while riding his bike. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with primary medical care and at the end of the resuscitation operations determined his death.
MDA paramedic Saar Abergil said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw a broken electric bike and a truck on the road. Nearby lay a 65-year-old man unconscious. “He suffered a very severe head injury, we performed medical tests, he was without a pulse and without breathing, and after a few minutes we had to determine his death.”
