Rivlin and the chief of staff will discuss with European leaders the intensification of Hezbollah

The visit, which was commissioned by the presidents of Germany, France and Austria, will include discussions on the danger of Hezbollah’s intensification, the acceleration of the Iranian nuclear program and the decision of the International Court of Justice in The Hague to investigate war crimes in Israel. The President will be accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Major General Kochavi Spring, Which will provide security briefings to European Presidents during policy meetings.

The president will take off on March 16, and will hold a political working meeting with German President Dr. Frank Walter Steinmeier at the Presidential Palace in Berlin, followed by joint statements by the media.

The next day, the President of the State will take off for Vienna, where he will be received by an honor guard at a state ceremony at the Presidential Palace. Following the ceremony, the President will hold a political meeting with the President of Austria, Alexander van der Blanc, and the two are expected to speak at a memorial service for Holocaust victims, to be held at the foot of the monument to the Jews of Austria.

On the morning of the last day of the visit, the president will take off for Paris, where he will hold a political meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, after which he is expected to return to Israel.
