Veganism takes a moment. From ‘Veganuary’ promotions to whole series of products in fast food chains such as KFC and Greggs, there is a strong effort to lure consumers away from meat and dairy. But with success comes a deluge of quackery and misinformation.
In this program Marco Springmann, a public health researcher at Oxford University, separates fact from fiction. He explains Anushka Asthana what the data say about the impact of veganism on health and the environment and cutting out meat and other animal products.
