Among the names that will surely run with him on the list are Rivka Lazovsky, WIZO World President, journalist Far-Li Shachar, Professor Asa Kasher, and probably also the economist Shlomo Maoz, Israel Prize winner in philosophy, former MK Rachel Adeto and other names he will reveal this week The nearest.

The party led by Danny Yatom will be diverse from people on the right and left, identified with the political center and will strive to be the tongue in cheek after the election. Orphaned associates indicate that he will be willing to cooperate with the center-right parties, but will not sit in the government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu.

“My name is Danny, I’m 75 and I’m ashamed. I’m ashamed on behalf of my generation who see and experience how our country treats its veterans. We’re tired of being ashamed of our age, we’m tired of being ashamed of your attitude towards us, we’m tired of being ashamed,” he said.

“Out of shame, out of concern and especially out of seeing the good of the state and the good of the veteran generation – we are launching the Israel Veterans Party today. I belong to a generation that fought harder than any other generation, the generation that built the country in its early years, the generation that established a solid economy, advanced science and breakthrough technology. “This is the generation that the governments of Israel have become a neglected generation, a generation of contempt, a generation that is not counted,” he added.

He said that what pushed him to form the party was mainly the corona plague, which proved that “there is really no functioning welfare system in Israel,” and the behavior of politicians who are “busy with deals, jobs and not you” and have issued bombastic declarations in the past two weeks.

It will be recalled that Yatom resigned from his position as a Knesset member 12 years ago, as he did not agree to sit in the government of the current prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and even emphasized this today in his remarks: “I did not want to support the government of a failed prime minister. Because values will not be compromised. “The president of the state, the representative of the right or the representative of the left to form a government, according to my worldview, there is no situation that will impose this on a criminal defendant.”
