Researchers are studying the speed of treatment in patients with spinal cord injuries

Researchers are examining processing speed deficits in people with spinal injuries, according to a Dec. 31 report from the Amannan Hindustan.

The scientists compared patients and their brain activity patterns with a healthy control group and the elderly, the report said. Those with spinal injuries had similar brain activity as the oldest control group and differences compared to the age-related control group.

Although the study had limitations in sample size and extent of injury, it contributed to the understanding of spinal cord injury psychologically, the report said.
