Report: Liverpool offered defender Arsenal Sokratis

Liverpool have a chance to sign Sokratis from Arsenal, according to reports. The Reds have yet to make a decision, however.

This comes from Fabrizio Romano. Speaking on the podcast ‘Here We Go’, the journalist said that Liverpool had or did not have the opportunity to sign Arsenal defender Sokratis.

We say ‘yes or no’ because Romano emphasizes Liverpool’s outlook. The opportunity was there but Liverpool are not enjoying it at the moment. But then the Reds still don’t know if they are signing a defender this month – the choice remains, it seems.

“It was also offered to Liverpool, do you know that?” said Romano. “Liverpool were looking for an opportunity and it was offered to Liverpool, but at the moment it is not an option.

“Yes, it could also be an opportunity, it was an opportunity because it was offered to him.

“But at the moment Liverpool have not decided whether to sign a midfielder or not, they are still in the middle of the situation, so nothing has been decided. ”

What RTK has to say

Maybe as your last resort? And just very short. And maybe not even then?

Sokratis has barely played this season and is 32 – that feels like a bad mix. We’re not sure it would be even faster in the coming months.

And if that is the case, Liverpool have no real reason to move for it. They would only want as a cover until the end of the season but it may not be at its best over that time.

Then we can add that he ‘s not really good enough for Arsenal’ s squad this season.

Put all that together and we might prefer to see Liverpool take advantage of Rhys Williams. It has more long-term benefit and can be said to be more ready for Sokratis.

So while Liverpool may not have made a definite decision this month, it’s hard for us to believe they would go in for Sokratis.

Simply put, there has to be better choices.
