According to a report from Sam Amico, the LA Clippers may be in the mix for the Andre Drummond trade.
We have previously explained what a trading position would be like for the Clippers, but in the end it depends on whether it was worth it. While Drummond could be a wonderful build for the Clippers, the team can’t ignore anything that matters too much. Right now, the depth of the Clippers works great for them, as they win games while Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are out.
The thing to remember with the LA Clippers is that they had their best record in the NBA before Paul George was injured with bone edema. Any trade may be reversible, which the Clippers must avoid altogether. If Paul George or Kawhi Leonard are likely to be injured for the playoffs, then it ‘s time to pull something off. Another thing, to trade any pieces away before shortening a rebound, unless the resulting piece warrants an NBA Championship.
These are the numbers Andre Drummond was putting up with the Cleveland Cavaliers this year: 17.5 PPG, 13.5 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.6 SPG, 1.2 BPG, at 47% FG. It will be a great addition to any competitor, but it depends on who the team has to give up. If Drummond is found in a buying position, it would be worth it no matter what.
Do you believe the LA Clippers should trade for Andre Drummond?
