Report in Syria: Israeli attack in Damascus

Syria’s state news agency reported tonight (Wednesday)) On an Israeli attack on the western capital, Damascus, and on Nabi Habil, located near the town of Zabdani in southwestern Syria. It was further reported that one person was killed, three Syrian army soldiers were wounded and much damage was done in the attack.

The news agency also reported the activation of air defense systems over the capital Damascus and loud explosions that were heard throughout the city. Lebanese news network Almiadin also reported the attack. Documentation uploaded to the social network Twitter shows Syrian soldiers photographing a large fire caused as a result of the attack in the Zabdani area.

Last week, the Syrian media claimed that Israeli planes fired missiles from Lebanese territory at a military facility near the town of Masyaf in the west of the country. The Syrian Center for Human Rights, based in London and affiliated with the opposition, reported that Israeli attacks destroyed warehouses and military research centers, which were attended by Iranian militiamen. The center also reported ambulances to the military area and that there was information about the dead.

On Tuesday, Syrian media reported that two Revolutionary Guards officers were killed in a UAV attack on the vehicle in which they were traveling near the town of Myadin in eastern Syria.
