All for the sake of the games. Japan continues to operate on all fronts to ensure that the Tokyo Olympics this summer will kick off as planned without further delays and concerns related to the corona virus. One of the major issues that has come up recently is related to vaccines for athletes and anyone who gets permission to land in the country, and it seems that the Japanese will get support to close this corner.
The media reported today (Thursday) that China’s Olympic Committee has submitted a proposal to the International Olympic Committee to provide a certain amount of vaccines to competitors coming to Tokyo, as well as to athletes planning to participate in the 2022 Beijing Winter Games.
Thomas Bach, who was re-elected president of the IOC, said of the move: “The Chinese Olympic Committee is willing to work with us to prepare two-way vaccine delivery. That will be available to the residents of the host country. “
