In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE journalist Renee Paquette opened her first interview with John Cena.
Renee Paquette signed a contract with WWE in 2012. She recalled that her first WWE interview was with John Cena and that she was unaware of his importance at the time.
Renee said she was trying too hard to make the sections about herself and she remembers Cena being very sweet.
“I had my first interview with John Cena. At the time, I did not understand what that pressure meant. At the time, Brooke Hogan was doing her music career or the reality show. So I was going to talk to him about that. I remember standing on our toes. They were counting down the PR guy who was with Cena at the time and they’re like, ‘We’re not going to do this interview. ‘I was trying too hard to do the sections about myself instead of trying to overdo the talent, but I remember Cena being very gracious and sweet.
“It was like, ‘The world knows sometimes.’ I had just gotten out of the shower and my phone is just starting to blow up. So it made me want to figure out a neat little way to do it. I really liked that it came from him. It was easy, ”said Renee Paquette.
Renee Paquette went on to many more interviews with John Cena
Renee Paquette signed a contract in late 2012, and her first gig with the specialty company was with Mean Gene Okerlund, titled “WWE Vintage”. She soon entered the work of a nominator and went on to name duties on all three logos.
Paquette’s John Cena was on RAW Talk after his game with Roman Reigns at WWE No Mercy 2017, in which Cena was seen growing emotional while talking about his retirement, after his loss to the Tribal Chief.
