Willy Rotensteiner will continue as coach of the Israeli national team for the next two years with an option to extend for another two years. Association chairman Oren Hasson met with the coach who postponed his trip to Austria and passed on his wish. Some members of the locating committee who did not know about the meeting between the two were outraged. “There is a committee here that is not worth anything. If it was up to me, Rotensteiner would not be the coach, but the technical director,” said one committee member.
Remember, Rotensteiner came to the Football Association to be the technical director. At first, the chairman of the Football Association, Oren Hasson, refused to extend his contract and wanted to sign an Israeli coach, but due to the corona and the economic problem, Hasson chose to keep Rotensteiner who failed in his job.

Part of the decision to keep him is related to the fact that the association must pay him NIS 700,000 in compensation in the event of his departure.
