Bangladesh they chose to bat vs. West Indies

Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque selected bats in the first Test against West Indies in Chattogram while the visitors gave debates to the hosts Shayne Moseley, Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner.

After a 3-0 cruise in the ODI series, Bangladesh are once again popular despite not playing Test in 12 months. They were joined by three spinners (Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan and Taijul Islam) and one sailor (Mustafizur Rahman), and Shakib Al Hasan also returned after recovering from his groin injury.

The West Indies are also encouraged by the introduction of Shannon Gabriel and Kemar Roach but with the slow pace of the pitch, they also included two spinners in Rahkeem Cornwall and Jomel Warrican.
