Film: Raya and the last Dragon

Back in 2010, Dreamworks came up with one of the best, most enjoyable and animated films ever with How to Train Your Dragon, followed by two equally impressive series. Prior to that, Hollywood has a long and rich history of dragon-themed movies or films with dragons as one or more of the main characters, including the trilogy Hobbit, Dragonheart, Tom and Jerry: The Lost Dragon, and Disney’s own original Pete’s Dragon and Mulan 1998. So do Raya and the Last Dragon come together with this pantomime of cinematic dragons. Sadly, it doesn’t even come close.

What it’s all about
Dragons and humans once lived in harmony in a world called Kumandra, until deceptive creatures called Druuns began to turn humans to stone until dragons sacrificed themselves to the rest of the world. save humanity, with the last dragon, Sisu, turning his spirit into a magical jewel to vanquish the last of the Druuns. 500 years later, divided lands and warring tribes fight against each other for the jewel, which unleashes a few of the Druuns again, but Raya, a tribal princess Heart, also finding a way to bring Sisu back with her piece of the jewel and together, they began trying to collect the remaining pieces of jewel and come together to eliminate the Druuns forever.

What a hot
The action is amazing, especially some of the hand-to-hand combat scenes and running sequences. The animation and VFX are elegant, too, but those factors are going to be great in any Disney movie, be it animated or animated. The news would be if Disney doesn’t live up to its high standards in the technical sectors. In addition, Raya and the Last Dragon boast a few magical moments (but, seriously, just a few), with Sisu the dragon acting as a pilot for a ship, bringing in a baby and her pet monkeys as a group of thieves, and Sisu finally shows his true image in all its grandeur to save Raya as the most famous of them all.
What is not
For a film set in a bygone era, the construction of the Raya and the Last Dragon world is not nearly as imaginative or expansive or well-planned as it could be – a major failure on the part of the directors Don Hall and Carlos Lopez Estrada as the production design team as well. Speaking of directional failures, Disney ‘s latest animated offering also lacks an incredibly attractive dragon, with Sisu coming off as nothing more than a grim big lizard with a huge mane. From any point of view it doesn’t look, feel, or behave like the dragons we’ve come to love on screen, including some of Disney’s own.
Even if Disney were to target a Chinese dragon as part of an Asian production (all the characters and the vocal machine are also, to a large extent Asian), this dragon would hardly inspire surprise and feature that ‘wow’ in viewers. Other than that, everything seems pretty easy to win in Raya’s question, with the challenges largely presented as obstacles. Plus, you just can’t stop how you train your Dragon and even Indiana Jones in most of the scenes, moreover, still unhappy with what they see. compared to these classics. The biggest hurdle of the film has to be like everything is derivative, predictable, easy, run-away and an unmistakable mill.
BL diagnosis
Preventing a few moments of true magic from appearing on screen and a handful of exciting sequences to build, Raya and the Ultimate Dragon look for nothing more than an attempt to find out about Dreamworks’ How Train Your Dragon and cash in on Indiana Jones styled events for its modern day audience, the makers bet they won’t be familiar with the Harrison Ford classics, but, at the end over there, Disney ‘s latest animated film falls off the intended results of both accounts.
