PlayStation Heroes Insomniac Games, Ratchet and Clank, are not yet made for PC, but you can test their abilities with the innovative Doom 2 mod.
Modder brought ThatBlindGuy to ModDB with Ratchet and Clank: Hot and Bothered, a version of Doom that adds plucky action duo weapons and monsters to the game. The mod is compatible with Doom 2, Final Doom, and FreeDoom, and adds weapons such as the Mini-Turret Ambassador, Blitz Gun, and Infector, as seen in a short gameplay clip, PCGamesN reports.
Ratchet and Clank have appeared in a number of PlayStation-centric games over the years, with a couple of mobile pipes along the way. Ratchet is part of a cat-like alien species called Lombax and is a space mechanic tasked with saving the universe. His partner Clank is a small robot that is always by his side. The Ratchet and Clank games are famous for their different types of weapons and action-packed platforms.
The couple’s upper arms make sense in Doom, and the mod makes good use of them. The voice and music clips make Doom 2 feel like a completely different game as well. The MIDIs are pretty rockin ’.
