Raphael with the Golden Shoe (Antwerp Official Twitter)
The owner of Betar Jerusalem, Moshe Hogg, submitted a proposal for a long-term contract for Lior Rapalov. Celebrating is in constant contact with the player’s agent, Dudu Dahan, and forwarded the offer to him and at the same time an inquiry was made to Antwerp on the subject and she was updated on this but at this point refuses to release the player in the current transfer window. This is what ONE learned. It should be noted that the window in Belgium closes tonight (Monday), but as far as Rapalov is concerned, it must not be forgotten that he himself ends a contract at the end of the season and therefore will be able to sign for next season wherever he wants.
Belgium reports on the issue this morning, claiming that “in Antwerp they know that Raphaelov may leave and they expect to hear what he wants to do today.” It is not clear if the issue will indeed be cut today, but in any case, it is a very serious and tempting offer also in its economic aspect for Raphaelov who only recently won the Belgian golden shoe. The player who will celebrate his 35th birthday in about two months is in Belgium about a decade after leaving Maccabi Haifa for Club Brugge in 2011.

After a glorious career in Bruges, he is experiencing a resurgence in Antwerp. This season he has already managed to score 10 goals in the league and in the Europa League and added five more assists. By comparison, last season he had 13 goals and 5 assists in all competitions, including the Belgian Cup and there is no doubt that the player is in excellent shape.
