Another week has passed, so what has been happening in the social media test is playing Twitter Red Pokémon… within a talented programmer avatar? Well, read on!
After defeating Cerulean City water type Gym director Misty, Twitter boarded the SSAnne in Vermilion City and accepted his Blue rival. According to reports (through Discord channel for this social media test), Twitter party was not in the best state from fighting everyone on board and they didn’t bother to heal before the big game. Fortunately, it was a relatively easy battle with Fearow, now known as “CHAD”, ultimately delivering a highly effective blow to Blue’s Ivysaur.
Shortly after this HM01 (Cut) was acquired, and just days after the big win against Misty, Twitter was able to defeat Lt. Surge, Vermilion Electric Type gym director. Despite everything, Twitter solved the Gym puzzle on the first try and did a quick job on the sneakers on the main floor. In the battle against Lt Surge, Twitter included Geodude of the Rock type. He snatched Surge’s entire party out and defeated his last pocket monster, Raichu, in one hit. The prize, of course, was the Thunder Badge.
Since then, Twitter has been through Diglett Cave, acquired HM05 (Flash), improved Geodude and Oddish, made its way through Rock Tunnel, and recently acquired HM02 (Fly) and acquired Eevee the -free.
The current party consists of Fearow Level 27 (CHAD), Level 27 Graveler (ABBPRI), Level 30 Wartortle (AMAYBE), Level 28 Alakazam, Level 22 Gloom (Curse) and Level 25 Eevee (DHY).
So that’s three badges at the time of writing – who knows what Twitter will accomplish in the game by the end of next week.
