Update 2 [Sat 2nd Jan, 2021 04:45 GMT]: The expected issue of Edge spot attention Ridire Hollow: Silksong available now.

A post over at ResetEra has shared some of the best events. Unfortunately, there is no release date yet, so keep an eye out for that in the future. There are other interesting details, however.

– Team Cherry’s next game will not be related to Hollow Knight
– Team Cherry as Castlevania Lords of Shadow!
– Hornet will have the ability to perform tasks for NPCs, track the actions you perform through directories around Pharloom.
– Not to replace organic question sequences from the original Hollow Knight.
– Instead of rescuing Grub’s from jars, now you rescue redheads, which find themselves in small scratches.
– Hornet’s Crests are fully customizable, they can be easily modified to reflect your playing style.
– Trying to create a game that will be accessible to new players, but which also responds to the difficulty of the original game.
– ‘Bricks’ like Sting Shards, Pimpillo Bombs, upright pins, can be cured at benches from shards collected from defeated enemies.
– The goal of the game is to climb to the Citadel, but there will be ‘lots of other land’
– Christopher Larkin, composer of Hollow Knight returns
– Start from the game after you lose a lot of your powers
– PC and Switch only at launch, TBA release date.

Team Cherry also noted how Hornet is generally more acrobatic (via GamesRadar):

“Hornet can travel so fast, she can jump higher, she can dress or climb up on tiles, she’s usually more athletic. So the caves around it have to expand to get up. ”

And the enemies in the new entry are more sophisticated than those in Hollow Knight, too:

“The characters in this game, they’re kind of one step beyond that, where it doesn’t absolutely feel right for them to be so simple. Apparently, they have to have amazing ways to run you, keep you up, or avoid your attacks. ”
