Ran defeated Metz 1: 3, Nice embarrassed Marseille

The 30th round of the French league continues today (Saturday) with two games. Earlier Ran was hosted by Metz and beat them 1: 3 on the way to seventh place in the table and later Nice surprised Marseille with a 0: 3 home win.

Ran, who just ten days ago closed out a month of five straight losses, continued the recovery trend with a second straight win, overtaking her opponent and rising to seventh place with 44 points compared to Metz’s 42. Jeremy Doku scored first for Ran in the 19th minute, and later Martin Treya scored the second with a penalty in the 38th minute.

In the second half things got a bit complicated for Ran when Doku, the first goal scorer was sent off with a direct red card in the 51st minute after a serious foul. However, Sahro Guirasi closed out an interest with the third in the 89th minute, and Papa Angiaga Yada only shrank a minute later. The locals are already counting three consecutive games without a win.

Marseille, who are in fifth place with 45 points, had hoped to widen the gap from those behind it in the battle for the last ticket from the league to European enterprises in the away game in Nice, but the host had other plans. Kiefer Toram-Oliya, the great Amin Gwyri and Alexis Claude Morris gave a great 0: 3 to Nice, who raised their balance to 39 points and got into a strong fight for the ticket to Europe.
