The women’s team of Elitzur Ramla recorded a league victory for the sixth time in a row tonight (Sunday) after beating Elitzur Holon 68:74 at home, in the main game of the 6th round of the Athena Wiener League for women. Tiffany Mitchell led Ramla’s goals with 21 points, but the refreshing part of the game was my mother Rinat from Holon, who finished a great evening with 18 points and 4 threes. Also, Hapoel Rishon LeZion, with only two foreigners, managed to surprise and beat the champion, Maccabi Urban Ramat Gan, 72:79.

Chelsea Nelson’s 28 points plus 11 rebounds, led Rishon LeZion to a victory that broke a chain of three losses at the expense of the champion from Ramat Gan. Rishon LeZion won with only two foreigners and deserves full compliments.
