The Qatari government said on Sunday it would provide $ 360 million in support of the Gaza Strip in the coming year, updating a program that helped reduce fighting between Israel and the region’s militant Hamas rulers.
Qatar, a rich country in the Gulf, has been giving Gaza $ 20 million a month since 2018. Payments were made for much-needed electricity, it helped Hamas cover the salaries of its servants civil and gave $ 100 monthly stipends to scores of poor families.

Qatar has provided extra funding for development projects such as new roads and hospitals.
Israel and Hamas are bitter enemies who have fought three wars since the Islamic militant group took control of Gaza in 2007. The fighting, along with Israeli blockade and continues to counter Palestinian Authority, plundering Gaza’s economy.
